It wasn't a good day out at t'Reebok. Bolton weren't necessarily bad in some respects, it's just that they weren't good enough. We can easily be reactionary and call for "Coyle out!" or to sack the entire squad but let's just take a second, have a deep breath, and look at the numbers.
Darren Pratley misplaced 42.5% of his passes
Kevin Davies won five of his tackles and lost one
Gary Cahill intercepted the ball five times outside of the box
Gary Cahill completed 81.8% of his passes
Bolton Wanderers failed to make 50% of required clearances
Chris Eagles completed only one pass out of six into the opposition's box.
Martin Petrov misplaced only one of five passes from the right half of the field
Paul Robinson completed only one tackle and lost five
Paul Robinson failed to make five of seven clearances
Jussi Jaaskelainen misplaced 34.3% of his passes
David Ngog, Kevin Davies, and Ivan Klasnic each only took one shot
