Match Report: Blackpool 2 Bolton Wanderers 2

First Bolton went ahead, then Blackpool equalized, then Bolton went ahead, then Blackpool equalized. It's always full of excitement and drama when these two sides play. Bolton probably should have taken three points though, and Dougie Freedman continues to try and solve Wanderers defensive dilemma.

Bolton take the lead through Chung-Yong Lee

The contentious first half continued well into the second period. The affair was very much a cagey one for pretty much the whole of it. It was the substitute, Chung-Yong Lee, that had come on 10 minutes earlier for Martin Petrov, that made the difference for Bolton Wanderers.

Mark Davies was once again very involved in the goal as he pounced well on a misplaced ball from Stephen Crainey. The central midfielder found Chris Eagles well on the right and the winger played a hard, low ball across the face of goal that Chungy ran onto the ball and slid in to convert the goal on 71 minutes.

At the moment, Bolton Wanderers continue their great start under Dougie Freedman. A full three points at Bloomfield Road would see the Trotters leapfrogging Blackpool.

Attendance at the stadium was announced as 15,525 with over 2,100 of that group being the sold-out Bolton away contingent.

Mark Davies & Tom Ince score, all level at 1-1

Bolton Wanderers maintained the better share of possession early on before Blackpool found their feet and started peppering the goal from distance. It was all relatively comfortable for Wanderers in the first 20 minutes.

It was the whites who would take the lead first, the first time they've scored the opening goal in the short reign of Dougie Freedman. Martin Petrov did all the hard work for Bolton's opener who spotted the run of Chris Eagles into the box. Petrov played a good incisive ball but it was deflected and fell kindly to Mark Davies on the edge of the six yard box. The midfielder's shot went low and to the right of Matt Gilks for Bolton to lead.

The advantage wouldn't last long though as Blackpool equalized just 60 seconds later. The Tangerines' young danger man, Thomas Ince, was the one that did the business with a very good strike from the edge of the penalty area.
