MOTM v Burnley: Adam Bogdan

This was both an easy and difficult choice. Easy because Adam Bogdan was the only player who showed anything approaching quality against Burnley. Difficult because even the Hungarian ginger was not that impressive, and neither was anyone else.

Maybe I could have chosen the kitman, as everyone appeared to be wearing a clean shirt that fit correctly and had their number on it.

The bus driver was a candidate. After all, the club got there on time and to the correct stadium. You could argue that was the last thing Bolton Wanderers did correctly on Saturday.

The backroom staff under the physio had a decent day, no serious injuries were reported. David Ngog was not available though, so that's a wash.

Our wingers looked OK in the opening. Martin Petrov and Chung-Yong Lee probably had our two best chances. Petrov's volley was over the bar, and Lee's was cuffed from 12 yards out.

Who else?

Adam Bogdan was it. He made some great saves. Really kept Bolton in the match in the second half. Some of you may recall that Bogdan won several Lion of Vienna Suite Man of the Match awards last season. Most of them were in losses where he simply prevented 2-0 from becoming 5-0.
