It was all looking so good for Bolton Wanderers yesterday. The Trotters were two goals up early on before it all went wrong. If you weren't one of the fans that traveled to the Valley, we have the highlights for you.
Marvin Sordell opened the scoring for the men in white on just the five minute mark as he made his way into the area, cutting in to beat a Charlton defender before firing under Ben Hamer from the inside edge of the box. Medo Kamara would get his first Bolton Wanderers goal just 15 minutes later as his shot from distance clipped off the inside of the bar at the near post and went in.
The comeback was then on for Charlton thanks to Johnnie Jackson. The midfielder received a nice little layoff just inside Bolton's area before shooting low at the far post. The shot went under two Bolton defenders and just out of the reach of Andy Lonergan. Then, it all went wrong. The referee carded Sam Ricketts for what looked like a very soft foul on Ricardo Fuller (who made sure to roll around a lot) and that was the fullback's second card. He was off. Charlton would score on the ensuing free kick with Yann Kermorgant hitting the post and Dervite putting in the rebound. Charlton would get their winner on the 62 minute mark as Darren Pratley brought (again, very softly) Ricardo Fuller down in the box with Yann Kermorgant scoring from the spot.
