Bolton Wanderers have, on transfer deadline day, loaned out 6'4, 7st drink of water Conor Wilkinson to Chesterfield. There was little rejoicing, because nobody was really that concerned.
Wilkinson, who joined from Millwall back in the day, is reported to be a staggering £8,000 per week and has ripped up precisely no trees during his time at Bolton.
The Croydon-born striker has spent time out on loan at Chester, Torquay United, Oldham Athletic (twice), Barnsley, Newport County and Portsmouth - with barely any impression being made at any of the clubs he has represented.
At Bolton he has failed to score in seven appearances. Wilkinson has also been capped at Republic of Ireland U19 and U21 levels, with similar results.
He joins lovely man Chedwyn Evans at Chesterfield and we wish him the best of luck.
With news of Kaiyne Woolery moving to Wigan Athletic, I'm sure this won't be the last done deal of the evening.
