For the third round of the FA Cup, Bolton Wanderers have been drawn with either League Two's Macclesfield Town or Chelmsford City of the Conference South, depending on who wins the second round tie between the two sides. Should Macclesfield advance, it would be a repeat of the 2-1 second round Carling Cup match where a brilliant Tuncay Sanli debut got Bolton the win. If Chelmsford advances, Bolton would make the trip to the Melbourne Stadium in Chelmsford which houses all of 3,000 fans.
