We've already given a roundup of who Owen Coyle and Phil Gartside have brought into the squad this summer and while Bolton have lost quite a few (mostly dead weight) players, the new signings all show promise and look like making a real impact. According to Sky Sports News, Bolton were the fourth busiest club this summer with eight new faces in the side. What's even more impressive than that little factoid is just how much money Bolton Wanderers spent acquiring those signatures.
First off, a quick little round-up with transfer fees. Bolton are very, very tight-lipped about how much they buy and sell players for so the numbers are estimations of what we could gather from various reports and are estimations.

After some quick math, Bolton spent about £7 million to bring in their eight new players. During the summer, Bolton lost eight players to West Ham Wanderers, Galatasaray, Maccabi Haifa, Huddersfield Town, and retirement. By clearing out those players, Bolton managed to bring in somewhere in the region of £7.4 million. Danny Ward's move to Huddersfield was a six figure sum initially but could rise to £1 million given appearances and other add-ons.
Bolton's bottom line managed to come out positive and it looks as though we've managed to make a number of quality signings. In Owen Coyle we trust.
