With renewed optimism following the 2-0 win at Aston Villa yesterday, we can look ahead to the Arsenal match with some confidence instead of the dread that would have led up to it had we been ousted from the Carling Cup. Ivan Klasnic will miss out after receiving a red card against Norwich City which we thought would have eased Owen Coyle's selection dilemma but the performances against Villa say otherwise.
The new look lineup that started yesterday's match looked like Bogdan, Steinsson, Wheater, Cahill, Gardner, Eagles, Muamba, Holden, Pratley, Kakuta, and Ngog but obviously not all of them will be able to make it into the starting XI for Arsenal. With that, we'd like to know who you'd have in your starting lineup by posting it in the comments. We'll update the post with what you've got!
Hit the jump for what I would do if I were Owen Coyle.
Goalkeeper: Jussi Jaaskelainen
Defense: Dedryck Boyata, David Wheater, Gary Cahill (who had a monster game last night), Paul Robinson
Midfield: Martin Petrov, Fabrice Muamba (looked a different player last night), Stuart Holden, Chris Eagles
Forwards: Kevin Davies, David Ngog
Tuncay Sanli, Gael Kakuta, and Darren Pratley would come on as substitutes
Agree? Disagree? Let us know!
