Another winger on the cards? Bolton have gone in for Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha in hopes of signing the highly rated 19-year-old forward before the transfer deadline. With a bid in the neighborhood of £5 million already launched for the young England youth international, Owen Coyle and Bolton are hoping to secure his services permanently. Speaking of his interest in the player, Owen Coyle said:
"I think there's players out there, and Zaha is certainly one of them, that I think would enhance our club for years to come on a permanent basis, and there are one or two on a loan capacity I'd love to bring in before the deadline on Tuesday."
Zaha is a consistent starter for Crystal Palace in the Championship, already making 25 appearances totaling 1753 minutes with two goals and three assists in the league. Crystal Palace are keen to hold on to Zaha as he has a long, bright future ahead of him. He's just signed a five and a half year deal at Selhurt Park back in December but the thought is that the Bolton bid might be enough for Palace to change their stance.
"If it transpires then great, but it won't stop me targeting good, young players to bring to this football club that I think I can develop and make better, and that's what I'm trying to do."
Newcastle United and Stoke City are also said to be keen on the England U-19 man.
