Reserve striker Jack Sampson has joined League Two side Accrington Stanley on loan for one month. League Two is no strange place for the 19 year old as he spent 3 months on loan to Southend United starting in January of last season. There he made 9 appearances for the Shrimpers but failed to score any goals. The club announced his new move on Twitter earlier today.

Sampson has been making some appearances for the struggling Bolton reserve side this season, but they have recently they have come rather late in the match. He did start and score in a rare win for the side against West Ham Under-21s in September. Jack has this to say about the move,
I'm very happy to come to Accrington. Hopefully I can crack on and start the game on Saturday. I've got a little bit of experience at this level and it took me quite a while to get used to the facilities in League Two but I think that'll help me and I can cope well. People say loans are to get minutes on the pitch but I want to get goals. I want to try and average a goal a game!
There was interest from teams lower down this division but I wanted to come to a club with a winning mentality that wants to do well and win games.
Paul Cook, Accrington Stanley's manager also chimed in,
We're very thankful to Bolton for letting us have Jack. He's a lad we've trailed for some time now, he's got experience in this league with Southend who got into the play-offs last season and he's a left sided striker with a bit of physical presence about him which is something we've lacked. We're really pleased with the signing.
Hopefully Sampson can get game time there and turn it into valuable experience. Pulling from the reserves instead of making new signings will become more and more important for Bolton as the club attempts to wade through the massive amounts of debt that will only have been worsened by relegation.
