Update - Bolton Wanderers 0-2 Bristol City: Overhead

A frustrating start for Bolton Wanderers as they went down early on Jimmy Phillips' first match as caretaker manager. It took only three minutes for Bristol City to go ahead on what was, admittedly, a very good goal. Liam Fontaine broke forward for Bristol City and crossed into the box but Matt Mills cleared the ball behind for a Bristol City corner. Albert Adomah, the danger man and one we were told to be wary of, took the corner and put it into the box where a Bolton man deflected it. Forward Steve Davis hit it acrobatically in what can only be described as an overhead kick into the corner of the net.

Bristol City doubled their lead on 21 minutes as Martin Woolford was brought down in the box by Stephen Warnock. The decision was a contentious one but Bolton gave up their fifth penalty in six games. Steve Davies stepped up to take and sent Adam Bogdan the wrong way to make the score 2-0 to Bristol City halfway through the first period.
