The 36-year-old Glaswegian is inching ever close to officially accepting the role as manager of Bolton Wanderers Football Club. The early reports this morning suggest that he will be in charge of Bolton by this Saturday's match at Middlesbrough. There was a lingering question though and that would be if he would take charge of his final Crystal Palace game, tonight's matchup against Barnsley.
talkSPORT appear to have sorted out the answer to that:
talkSPORT understands Dougie Freedman will not be in charge of Crystal Palace for their Championship fixture against Barnsley on Tuesday evening.
The Eagles chief has been linked with the vacant manager's role at Bolton, following Owen Coyle's departure, and is understood to be close to accepting the role.
Palace are currently fourth in the Championship table and have won four of their last five Championship fixtures.
As soon as anything breaks officially, we'll be sure to have it for you.
