Marvin Sordell Handed Another England U-21 Call

Marvin Sordell has made three appearances for Bolton this season with one goal. Those three appearances amount to a relatively paltry sum of playing time but Stuart Pearce has shown his faith in the young striker once again.

The young forward, who has not been given much of a chance to impress for Bolton Wanderers thus far this season despite being labelled the best finisher at the club, will get another go in the England shirt. The U-21s are in the midst of qualifying for the U-21 European Championships next summer in Israel. Sordell has scored twice in seven appearances for England U-21s.

The young Lions will take on Serbia twice in a qualifying play-off double header during this next international break. England need to come out with a better aggregate score over the two legs in order to qualify for the 2013 finals. The first leg will take place at Norwich City's Carrow Road on October 12 before heading to the Stadion Mladost in Krusevac, Serbia.
