Halftime: Millwall 1-0 Bolton

Same old Bolton, always losing. A sluggish Wanderers side that has resorted to playing the long ball is being walked over by a Millwall side captained by former Trotter, Danny Shittu. Millwall nearly went 1-0 up very early on thanks to a goal from the aforementioned captain. Shittu rose highest on a cross and put his header past Adam Bogdan but the referee's whistle was Bolton's saving grace.

Millwall would continue their domination and finally broke through on 18 minutes through Darius Henderson. The forward took a shot from decent range through a mess of Bolton Wanderers players that likely screened Bogdan's sight. Bogdan got to the ball but somehow tucked it under his body and it squirmed into the back of the net.

Bolton nearly equalized in first half stoppage thanks to Chris Eagles. The winger rounded the Millwall fullback and Mark Davies picked out a good pass. Eagles took a great shot that looked destined for the far corner and would have been in if not for a top-class save from David Forde. The goalkeeper was at full stretch and tipped the shot over the bar.
