The contentious first half continued well into the second period. The affair was very much a cagey one for pretty much the whole of it. It was the substitute, Chung-Yong Lee, that had come on 10 minutes earlier for Martin Petrov, that made the difference for Bolton Wanderers.
Mark Davies was once again very involved in the goal as he pounced well on a misplaced ball from Stephen Crainey. The central midfielder found Chris Eagles well on the right and the winger played a hard, low ball across the face of goal that Chungy ran onto the ball and slid in to convert the goal on 71 minutes.
At the moment, Bolton Wanderers continue their great start under Dougie Freedman. A full three points at Bloomfield Road would see the Trotters leapfrogging Blackpool.
Attendance at the stadium was announced as 15,525 with over 2,100 of that group being the sold-out Bolton away contingent.
