The Bolton Wanderers central midfielder has put in some good work under Dougie Freedman. Since becoming Bolton's manager, Freedman has instituted a 4-2-3-1 formation and Mark Davies has featured heavily both as a holding and an attacking midfielder. His hard work was duly rewarded this weekend with what was a very good personal performance against Blackpool.
Mark Davies scored Bolton's first goal of the day and was instrumental in the second, find Chris Eagles in space and allowing the winger to play the ball across the face of goal for Chung-Yong Lee to latch onto. This is the second time this season that Davies has made the Championship Team of the week.
