Officially Official: Michael O'Halloran On Loan to Tranmere Rovers

Many people in America are under the impression that today is Thanksgiving. They are wrong. Today is Bolton's Scots Go Out on Loan Day.

Yesterday, we thought it might be coming. Earlier today, Gregg Wylde completed the move to Bury, now his fellow countryman Michael O'Halloran is also on his way out, joining Tranmere Rovers on loan until January 6, 2013. Tranmere currently lead League One, having earned 38 points in 19 games. O'Halloran has been with the Wanderers for all of his professional career, coming from the youth system. He has been a regular in the reserve side, and earned himself his first contract this summer, but has been unable to force his way into Bolton's team in a meaningful way.

This will be the Scottish striker's third loan stint away from Bolton Wanderers, having spent time at both Sheffield United and Carlisle United earlier this year. He returned to the Reebok from Carlisle United after completing only 12 days of the month long loan. Hopefully his spell at Tranmere Rovers will prove to be more successful, especially considering how well the Rovers are doing at the moment.
