There was a lot of will-they-won't-they with Lennie Lawrence and Curtis Fleming following Dougie Freedman's move to Bolton Wanderers. Last week, Lawrence came over to join Bolton as the assistant manager but Curtis Fleming stayed back and helmed the Eagles as caretaker manager, getting himself a good result over the weekend.

Just a couple of days ago, Crystal Palace announced Ian Holloway as their new manager. The former Blackpool boss watched his new team from the stands over the weekend is now set to enter talks with the current management team. Speaking to Croydon Advertiser Sport, he discussed what is happening at Palace:

"I will be sitting down with Ian Holloway in the next few days.

"It's all about preparation for training, matches and getting three points, it's not about me and where I'm going, that's just football.

"Nothing has changed and not much will change going into Ipswich on Tuesday.

"Ian Holloway will tell me I'm still contracted to Crystal Palace, he'll tell me what's happening as Dougie Freedman has been trying to get me up to Bolton, so at the end of the day, I'll be 100 per cent working to get results for Palace and then we'll see what happens after that."
