Mark Davies gives Bolton a dream start

We're really not sure what this whole early goals and happiness thing is but boy does it feel good. It started off a little later than it did midweek against Blackburn but it was a man with Davies on the back of his short opening the scoring. Not Kevin Davies this time but midfield dynamo Mark who was recalled to the starting lineup after serving his one-match suspension for yellow card accumulation.

Jay Spearing found Mark Davies who took a thumping shot from the top of the area. The ball deflected off of an Ipswich Town man and found the top corner of Steven Henderson's net after leaving the keeper rooted in his spot. Bolton are firmly on the offensive but Ipswich are managing to find their way back into the game.

The goal is Mark Davies' fourth of the season and puts Ipswich Town's goal differential to a staggering -24. For the sake of comparison, Bolton are at 0.
