Bolton's most successful team this season, the U18s, have finished the first portion of their season and won't pick back up for a while, but the Baby Whites ( a nickname that is catching on!) are still in action in the FA Youth Cup. In the last round, they emerged victorious by a 2-1 margin against the Portsmouth's U18 team. The drawing for the next round took place today, and it seems only fitting that Bolton has drawn the club that is quickly developing into a nemesis, Reading.
If you've been following the Baby Trotters' season (and if you haven't, you should've been), you will already know that Bolton finish second in their group to Reading*. Not only that, but Reading is also the team that ended Bolton's unbeaten streak, and they remained the only team in the group able to take all 3 points from Bolton.
The details of the fixture have yet to be announced, but whatever they may be, it will be a cracker of a youth match. Good luck you Baby White Men!
