According to Sky Sports, Peterborough played a 3-4-3 formation against Cardiff City last time out. This formation has its supporters (It is particularly popular in Asian Football), but it is not that common in England. I can't recall Bolton facing a club playing 3-4-3 since Sam Allardyce left.
As for the Trotters starting XI, it's the same group we saw against Charlton. I believe that is the first tiem Dougie Freedman has named an unchanged side.
The big news is that David Ngog is out. We have to assume he has picked up a knock in training (Updates as they come). In response, Marvin Sordell has been named in the squad for the first time in ages. Twitter will be thrilled! What do you make of the lineup?
