Goals aplenty at London Road make it 3-2 to Posh

Despite getting back into the game right on the stroke of halftime, Bolton's hard work was quickly undone as just two minutes from the whistle again, Peterborough scored. Defender George Thorne powered his way into the box past a few Bolton defenders and his lot shot slotted in at the near post to make it 3-1.

Dougie Freedman made two changes right after that, bringing on Marvin Sordell and Benik Afobe for Chung-Yong Lee and Jacob Butterfield. Suddenly, Bolton felt the urgency and maintained a wonderful spell of possession, pressuring Peterborough everywhere. Benik Afobe would make the difference for Bolton as he worked hard to get the ball back after a heavy touch before being brought down in the box for Bolton's second penalty of the night.

Keith Andrews stepped up to take again and he sent the ball the other way, slotting it home to make it 3-2, pulling it back to a one goal lead again.

Bolton had nearly scored from free play just before that as Kevin Davies played an excellent ball across the face of goal for Marvin Sordell at the far post. Just as it looked like the 21-year-old forward would tap it home, the ball lost all of its pace in the very wet and boggy goal mouth.
