Kalifa Cisse left Bristol City to join Bolton Wanderers on a trial as they did their week-long tour of Scotland. The defensive midfielder played a total of 111 minutes in a Bolton shirt over a period of three games. Cisse never set the world, Scotland, or the Trotters on fire, and as a result has been told by Owen Coyle that his services will not be needed according to the Bolton News.
Cisse was out of contract at Bristol City but has the option to return there should he choose. Recent reports have also linked Cisse with Charlton Athletic, who were recently promoted to the Championship. Meanwhile, Bolton are still on the lookout for a defensive midfield replacement for Nigel Reo-Coker.
