"Delighted and proud to have signed for bolton wanderers, pre-season starts thursday time to get the head down!" That's what young Joe McKee's twitter page said this morning after the 19-year-old attacking central attacking midfielder linked back up with manager Owen Coyle at Bolton Wanderers for the upcoming season. If there's anything Bolton need more of, it's strength in depth.
McKee originally joined Burnley from Livingston (after starting out with Dundee United) as a 16-year-old in 2009. He went right into the Burnley youth setup and stayed their for two seasons before signing a professional deal with the Clarets in 2011. McKee never made an appearance in the Burnley full side and was loaned out to Scottish side (a recurring theme with Owen Coyle) St. Mirren.
There, McKee made two appearances for the "Buddies," coming on as a substitute both times. McKee made his debut as he come on for Nigel Hasselbaink in the 80th minute in a 2-0 loss to Celtic. His only other appearance came as a 58th minute substitute for Hasselbaink in a 2-0 loss to Celtic.
