Owen Coyle certainly has been busy, completing no less than three signings (Keith Andrews, Matt Mills, and Joe McKee) in the first weeks of the transfer window, and now bringing reserve players into the first team fold. Today it was announced that ressies Jay Lynch, Sanmi Odelusi, Alex McQuade, and Andy Kellett have all signed professional contracts with the club, a first for all of them.
My lain criticism of Coyle's big signings thus far had been that neither of the big names were young, and the club should be looking to build for the future. Clearlty the gaffer reads the blog (Hi Owen!) and saw to this problem today by securing some reserves. For those unfamiliar with the names, Jay Lynch is a keeper; Alex McQuade and Andy Kellett are both defenders, while Sanmi Odelusi is a striker. It will be exciting to see if they can repay the managers faith. Congratulations Baby Trotters!
