To say that Tuncay Sanli didn't make as big of an impact as many had hoped he would at Bolton would be the understatement of the year. In 16 appearances for Wanderers, Tuncay scored a grand total of zero goals (although he did net on his debut in the Carling Cup). The winger was often a substitute in matches and would try to change the shape of the game (that Bolton were almost certainly losing) with one his backheel flicks (that almost certainly failed).
The forward/winger is now returning to Turkey after an unsuccessful season at Bolton Wanderers and even worse time at VfL Wolfsburg (who Bolton loaned him from). Tuncay has signed a three year deal with Turkish side Bursaspor after canceling a Wolfsburg contract that originally ran to 2014 by mutual consent.
