Craig Davies is the new kid in school and no one knows whether he'll turn into the cool kid or start sitting alone at the cafeteria. Yesterday was his first day of class and he made his presence known by saying what the fans wanted to hear from their brand new signing.
Davies' £300,000 transfer from Barnsley was completed on Wednesday and he became Dougie Freedman's first permanent signing at Bolton Wanderers. The forward was introduced to the press yesterday at Dougie Freedman's pre-match press conference and answered a few questions for the men with microphones.
On his goal against Bolton in November:
"That goal was pretty special because I'd just got back.
"It was the place as well - you always look for the clubs who have just got relegated from the Premier League - so scoring at the Reebok was great and hopefully it won't be the last."
On the decision to move west to the Reebok:
"I believe that anything is possible. That's the kind of guy I am.
"I believe in myself but this is the one I wanted. This is a big club, so it didn't take much persuading to come here, to be honest."
Good answers, Craig.
Bolton will be Davies's 12th club in his ten year professional career but hopefully, he makes it so that the fans want him to stay.
