Keith Andrews out for Everton clash, Holden & Sordell should see time

Paul Thomas

Bolton Wanderers will be forced to make changes for their FA Cup match with Everton this weekend. In his pre-match press conference (via Bolton News man Marc Iles), Dougie Freedman revealed that midfielder Keith Andrews will be one of the players forced to sit the match out.

The central midfielder, who has made 27 appearances for the Trotters in all competitions this season, will miss out. The manager said that the injury is related to the achilles issue that Andrews has been feeling for weeks now. Despite feeling the pain, Keith Andrews has played in six matches since Boxing day and gone the full 90 minutes in all but one of those, going off in the 75th minute against Crystal Palace last weekend.

The good news for Bolton fans is that Stu Holden and Marvin Sordell are very much in contention to play against the Toffees at the Reebok. Both players featured against Sunderland in the replay of their third round matchup with Marvin Sordell getting the vast majority of the game and Holden seeing the final 15 minutes. Both men missed out against Crystal Palace with fitness concerns. Dougie had gone on record last week to say that he didn't think either player was ready for two games in one week.
