Game on at the Reebok

Chris Brunskill

With heavy snowfall in Greater Manchester throughout last night and into the early hours of the morning, there were very legitimate concerns that the FA Cup match between Bolton Wanderers and Everton would not go ahead. Ground crews worked through the night to clear the pitch of the snow and operations were in full swing outside the ground to make sure it would be fine.

Jan Kozlowski, the Facilities and Operations Director at the club, told the official website about what the crews had to contend with:

"We made sure that we had all of our tractors and snow ploughs in place at the stadium overnight.

"Staff have been working throughout the night and the game is set to go ahead as planned."

Ground crews cleared the pitch, pathways, and parking lots at the stadium. Despite all that, fans are still urged to take caution getting to the ground.
