Dougie Freedman looks to be building Bolton's future and has just had a bid accepted for a young Scottish defender. 18-year-old Gary Fraser looks all set to move to the Reebok Stadium as a player for the future.
Fraser is on the smaller side at just over 5'8" and plays primarily as a central midfielder. He is currently at Scottish First Division (second tier in the Scottish pyramid below the Scottish Premier League) side Hamilton Academical. If that team name sounds familiar, Bolton wanderers played them in the summer and lost 2-0.
Fraser spent a bit of time on trial with Bolton Wanderers and impressed the powers at be. He had started ten matches for Billy Reid's Accies. A source close to the club told the Daily Record that "it looks like Bolton want to offer Gary the chance to join them" a few days ago and according to his club, the bid has just been accepted.
Fraser will have his medical and complete talks on Monday.
