Amid all the talk about contracts of late, Bolton Wanderers have apparently just extended the deal of one of the more unsuspecting suspects at the club. The person in question (according to Sky Sports) is Mark Davies and he's not near running out any time soon. The central midfielder, who had really been showing well ever since the arrival of Dougie Freedman but is now sitting out to injury, is currently under contract with Bolton Wanderers until 2015.
Mark Davies joined Bolton Wanderers in 2009 from Wolverhampton Wanderers and has been slowly progressing into the upper echelons of the squad. He had originally signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with the club upon signing and then extended the deal by another year in February of 2011. With 2.5 years left on the current deal, set to run out in summer 2015, it's a curious one with him extending but we're not complaining.
Sky Sports has said that the new deal is long term with other reports saying that he will be under contract with the Trotters until 2017. The club has not confirmed yet but everything is expected to be done and dusted by the weekend.
