Another deal looks to be in the works for Bolton Wanderers, this time with a player that his impressed on trial with the Trotters. With talks of a striker and a defender already ongoing, it seems that Dougie Freedman will look to strengthen his midfield. Apparently, the club have had a young central midfielder on trial over the past week and he's impressed the powers at be enough to warrant talks of a deal.
The player is 21-year-old (soon to be 22) Jan Gregus and he is a U21 Slovakian international, having amassed some 19 caps and 2 goals at that level. He is currently contracted to FC Banik Ostrava of the Czech Gambrinus liga but his deal expires this June (according to Transfer Markt). Banik Ostrava are currently 12th of 16 in the league table. He would be Wanderers' tallest midfield option and by a healthy margin as he stands over 6'2".
According to the Bolton News, talks are scheduled for this weekend and Bolton Wanderers have not made any indications about a transfer fee for the young player.
