Sanmi Odelusi Signs New Deal with Bolton

Academy graduate Sanmi Odelusi has signed a new deal at the Reebok Stadium. The young striker has signed a new two and a half year deal keeping him at the club until 2016

Sanmi Odelusi made his senior debut coming on as a substitute against Charlton in late May. Although the match ended in defeat after the Wanderers squandered a 2 goal cushion, Odelusi impressed and has gone on to make another 3 appearances in the league.

His most notable performance in a White shirt came against Shrewsbury town in the Capital One cup tie in August. He scored twice on his full Bolton debut as the Wanderers eased past Shrewsbury and into the second round of the competition which eventually ended in a penalty shoot-out defeat at Tranmere Rovers.

The news was originally broken on twitter with teammate Rob Hall getting the news out first and currently injured right back Joe Riley quickly adding his congratulations.

Speaking to the club’s official website Odelusi states how he’s hungry for success at the Reebok and will work even harder to ensure his place in the first team,

"I’m delighted to have signed a new deal,"

"It’s now time for me to get my head down and continue to work hard. I want to be pushing for more first team appearances.’’

"Hopefully I’ll get my chance. I want to show people how much it means for me to be here.''

"Since the manager and his staff came in I feel they have helped develop my game both on and off the pitch. I want that to continue."

After his impressive full debut against Shrewsbury we should be excited to see what the young striker can offer. At 20 he’s still got a lot of learning to do but if his work rate is anywhere near as good as his attitude he’ll be a success.
