Bolton Wanderers have this morning announced that Kevin McNaughton's loan deal from Premier League side Cardiff has been extended by two months.
31 year old full back McNaughton was signed by manager Dougie Freedman on an initial one-month loan deal back on 27th September to shore up a troubled backline which was beset by injury and loss of form.
He made his debut in the impressive away draw with high-flying Blackpool and has remained first choice ever since, keeping Tyrone Mears out of the team and forcing Alex Baptiste to left-back, himself covering the injured Marc Tierney.
Our results since McNaughton's arrival have been solid at best, with draws being the order of the day other than the away win over Birmingham City - to date Bolton's only victory this season.
McNaughton's loan deal is now due to expire at the end of December, before the transfer window opens again in the New Year.
