Gary Fraser Suspension Announced

Mark Runnacles

19-year-old Gray Fraser has been handed an extended ban, totaling in 9 games.

Fraser, found guilty of seizing Dunfermline's Chris Kane and kicking him repeatedly on the head and body, has already served an automatic two-game ban when he was shown a red during the match and will be out until just three days before his loan ends in the beginning of January.

Fraser joined the Jags on loan from Bolton Wanderers before the start of the season immediately after signing for Bolton from Hamilton and has started in four Scottish Premiership games, but has not been featured for the first team since sometime in August.

A Scottish FA disciplinary tribunal handed Fraser a 7 game suspension for the incident which occurred during a U-20s match on the 22 October after Fraser was accused of "punching a player on the opposing team" and "thereafter kicking him repeatedly on the head and body".

Thistle manager Alan Archibald revealed that Fraser had apologised to Kane sometime last month and hopes he can keep the teenager until the end of the season.
