In my formative years I would spend hours every day at school (when I should have been learning about fractions and shit) writing down lists of my favourite footballers.
Branagan in net, Paul Parker at right back, Roberto Carlos at left back complementing Chris Fairclough and Bobby Moore at centre half - you get the picture. Probably explains why I'm so bad at edumacating myself these days.
Anyway, the brains at Samsung have come up with a similar concept for their latest advertising campaign 'Football Saves the Day'.
German legend Franz Beckenbauer (oh and a note to the clown in the ESL who sits near me and insists on calling Tim Ream 'Franz' - shut your stupid mouth) uses a Samsung phone to call up the best players in the world after aliens invade and, naturally, challenge us Earthlings to a game of footy.
Beckenbauer uses his fancy device to contact names such as Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Radamel Falcao, Marco Reus, Mario Gotze, Oscar, Landon Donovan.......and Lee Chung-Yong.
Yep, Bolton Wanderers' own Lee Chung-Yong.
Some might say this is a cynical nod to the Asian market, but personally I think it's because, as Ric Flair used to say "if you want to BE the best, you've got to BEAT the best", and the Earthlings need all the help they can get.
You can watch Chungy's acting skillz here, dey mad dem.
