Wanderers face Charlton at the Reebok this afternoon - we spoke to Scott Hamilton, a 26 year-old life-long Charlton fan. He has been watching Charlton since 1995, and a season ticket holder for much of that time.
1) How has Charlton's season gone so far?
A struggle. We've missed a few key players through injury, others haven't played as well as they did last season, and the overall the squad is weaker than the one we ended last season with.
We don't score many goals meaning we've got to be strong defensively if we're going to get a result.
As it stands I'd take 21st, which at times last season I'd have said the same, but this time I can't see how (unless we're taken over and spend in January) we'll finish much higher than where we are now.
2) Are you a Chris Powell fan?
I'm a big fan of Chris Powell. He struggled with Parkinson's squad after he first took over, but the following summer completely rebuilt the team, bringing in around 20 new players.
He led his new squad to the League 1 title, breaking several records along the way.
Without a great deal more investment he then took us to 9th last season with a squad that I expected to be closer to the relegation zone.
He's managing under difficult circumstances this season, owners that are looking to sell the club, a thin squad with only 3 senior strikers (including Sordell and Church who were only brought in days before the season started) and a midfield that could have done with strengthening after promotion from League One.
3) Did you pay any attention to Bolton's poor start this season?
To be honest I've been a lot more concerned with our own poor start.
I had noticed that Bolton, like other recently relegated clubs, have continued to struggle at this level.
4) How has Bolton loanee Marvin Sordell been for you?
Unfortunately Sordell hasn't impressed. He's had the odd moment when he looks like he might have some quality but has often seemed to lack that energy or fight needed, especially in a struggling side.
At the moment there's probably more chance he'll return to you in January than sign permanently in the summer. Saying that he might get a few starts in the near future, Simon Church does plenty of running but rarely looks like scoring.
5) Who do you think is the dangerman in the Bolton ranks?
Jermaine Beckford is the obvious one being your top goalscorer.
6)Score prediction?
1-1 - we're better away from home.
We'd like to thank Scott for his time, and wish him luck for the rest of the season - except when up against the best team in the world. COYWM.
