Stu Holden and David Wheater both started for Bolton Wanderers in a U21 match against Manchester City. Bolton had gone up ahead early through Chris Lester before City equalized but that's not at all important. There are multiple reports from Hyde's ground, where the match is being held, that Stu Holden took a rash tackle and left the match. Hopefully it's not bad and this is just a precaution.
Holden down injured for a minute after a rash tackle, walked to sideline and lies down. Looks bad guys I'm afraid #bwfc

Holden visibly frustrated as another bad tackle ends his evening. Shoe and sock off, walking round pitch to changing room. Gutted #bwfc

That last tweet does have a photo of Holden walking off on the sideline.
Hard to say guys, he was obv annoyed, threw sock away etc. Walked off by himself somewhat gingerly. Must wait for news now #bwfc

It was a reckless front-on tackle where Holden got to ball 1st, looked like studs could've caught top of his foot. Could be metatarsal #bwfc

We'll update as more news comes in but we're hoping for the best.
One more updated from another fan at the ground:
Just spoke to Stu. He said he was OK. The whole of #bwfc breathe a huge sigh of relief!

There have been a lot of positive signs though and hopefully it is nothing more than a scare.
