Highlights of Nottingham Forest 1-1 Bolton Wanderers

Bolton Wanderers were made to rescue a point and then hold on tight for it at the City Ground this weekend as they took on Nottingham Forest in a Championship clash. With a brand new (old) manager on their books, Nottingham Forest's players were keen to impress while also badly needing a win to end a very poor streak.

Adam Bogdan did all of the work for Bolton in the first half as the Trotters' attack failed to register a single shot at the other end. The Hungarian goalkeeper was forced into a number of good saves and would keep it scoreless right up until the hour mark. It was at that point that Nottingham Forest forward Andy Reid would score. With a ball coming into the box, it would be headed back to Reid right on the edge of the area. Hitting it first time on the volley, the ball went to the bottom left corner of Adam Bogdan's goal and into the back of the net at the far post.

Bolton Wanderers would equalize though. Darren Pratley played a brilliant through ball that put David Ngog in space on the right side. The substitute forward, who had only come on a few minutes before, cut in a little bit and crossed low to the penalty spot where follow sub Craig Davies was waiting. Davies took his opportunity well and hit him from the middle of the area for his second goal in as many games.

The Trotters would have it all to do though in the final ten minutes of regulation and five minutes of stoppage time. Marcos Alonso lost the ball to Henri Lansbury in a dangerous area and upon trying to recover, bundled Lansbury over. The challenge resulted in the Spanish defender's second yellow card in ten minutes and he was off to the showers. Bolton held on though for the point.
