After remaining frozen for the last 8 seasons, Bolton Wanderers have had to increase their season ticket prices, as announced today on the official website. However, the rise isn't too steep with the price increasing just £10 to £379 for adults. The club have also changed around the junior season ticket, extended the U21 price of £194 to cover U23. They have also created a new section for U12, and those tickets are £60 for the whole season, while U18's cost £70.*

Under the club's direct debit scheme, which allows you to pay for your ticket in monthly installments interest free, the increase works out to £1 a month for adults, and 50p a month for concessions, if purchased before April 2nd early deadline date. This works out to roughly £16.48 a match for adults (assuming Bolton remain in the Championship), £8.43 a match for U23s, and £3.04 for U18s.

Richard Gough, head of public sales, told the official website,

We have carried out a full and comprehensive review of all ticketing prices and initiatives ahead of our new pricing plan. Within that we have restructured a number of our options and added new ones including an under-12s category. We are also creating a dedicated family area in the North Stand upper and are introducing an under-23 category.

We have also added a new Team Bolton brand that will encompass Bolton Wanderers supporters of all ages, including members, season ticket holders, juniors, adults and corporate customers and brings with it a number of added benefits.

For Wanderers fans, a season ticket is still the best and cheapest way to see all the home games. By taking advantage of the early purchase deadline which is now April 2 and direct debit scheme, supporters can ensure they not only save money, they can also spread the cost interest-free over 10 months.

While no one wants a price increase, this one really isn't too bad. Hopefully the club will see impressive ticket sales once again.

*All prices given are lowest available if purchased before the April 2 deadline, and depend on where in the stadium tickets are purchased.
