It's been a bit of a tough road for Stu Holden's younger brother, Euan, these last few months. After playing 34 time for Conference National side Stockport county FC over the last two years, Holden was let go. He only managed one appearance for the Hatters this season, coming in a Boxing Day loss, after a return from a lengthy injury.
After searching for a club, Holden has finally signed with League One strugglers Bury, agreeing "non-contract terms" with the club. The Shakers are currently in the League One drop zone, just one point from safety.
Holden is a left back that likes to get forward, not entirely dissimilar in style to Bolton's own Marcos Alonso. He had previously had stays with Vejle Boldklub and FC Hjørring of the Danish first division before following his brother to England and signing with Stockport County.
While at Stockport, he scored this goal that Hatters fans won't soon forget:
All the best in your new venture, Euan.
