Highlights of Bolton Wanderers 1-0 Brighton and Hove Albion: Alonso makes it five

Stu Forster

Missed the match at the Reebok or simply weren't bothered enough to stay up and watch the Football League Show? Here are the highlights of Bolton's fifth consecutive win, coming in a tense 1-0 match against Brighton and Hove Albion.

Brighton controlled much of the game's possession, shots, and corners, keeping the Bolton Wanderers defense busy. The fullbacks, who did not have a particularly good game, were unable to stop many of the balls that flew into the box. Thanks to a combination of Andy Lonergan saves, defensive blocks, and shots just off target, Bolton were able to keep their third clean sheet in four games.

The one goal in the match came in the 20th minute thanks to Marcos Alonso. Chung-Yong Lee cut inside from the right and found Alonso breaking forward on the opposite wing. Alonso, never one to shy away from a shot, had a go from the corner of the area. The shot went across the face of goal and into the bottom corner at the far post.
