In an amusing reversal of roles for the much mocked Bolton Lite, the Wanderers have secured Robert Hall from West Ham for a one month loan, as the first of Dougie Freedman's loan deadline day signings. Marc Iles once again was the bearer of the news, tweeting
DF announces that #bwfc have signed Robert Hall on month long loan from west ham. Possibly two more on the way.

UPDATE: Bolton announce the deal is until the end of the season

The 19 year old is a product of the West Ham youth system having been with them for 12 years now. He signed his first professional contract with the club in October 2010 but has only made 4 appearances for the Hammers since then (only on of them coming this season), spending most of his time out on loan to Oxford United, Milton Keynes Dons, and Birmingham City. For Birmingham, Hall made 7 assists in his 13 appearances but scored no goals, and was forced to leave the club early due to a groin problem.
Hall can play either as a forward or a winger, which will suit Dougie nicely as it should be easy for him to rotate in the 3 man triangle made up of a striker and two wingers which Bolton favour. Welcome to the Reebok, Robert Hall!
