Highlights of Barnsley 2-3 Bolton Wanderers: Dawson saves the day

Charlie Crowhurst

If you weren't one of the 2,000 fans that traveled to the Oakwell Stadium yesterday or simply did not want to stay up to see Bolton be near dead last on the Football League Show, we have the highlights for you. Video of all five goals (and one additional save) can be found below.

For the first goal, David Ngog did very well to recover from his first attempt being blocked but pay special attention to Chris Eagles' run and nice little square ball to find the striker first. Jay Spearing's goal to double the advantage was a very nice take and there really was not much Luke Steele could do about it. Barnsley's first goal was a nice strike from Tomasz Cywka that Bogdan could do nothing about. Questions would have to be asked of the defense though. Their second goal, the equalizer, was almost entirely on Adam Bogdan as he lost the ball from his hands when he hit the ground, allowing an unmarked O'Grady to run onto it and tap home. Finally, Craig Dawson's winner was the result of heads up play from the goal-scoring defender after Luke Steele's parried attempt was right in his path.
