Chung-Yong Lee didn't exactly have the best match against Charlton Athletic last weekend. It wasn't up to the standard that he's presented himself at during Dougie Freedman's Bolton Wanderers tenure. The weekend's performance (or lack thereof) became very understandable when you looked at the bigger picture around it.
Last Tuesday, Chungy and his South Korea team took on Qatar in a World Cup 2014 qualifier at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. Lee went the full 90 minutes in what turned out to be a very late (sixth minute in stoppage time late) win for South Korea and although he failed to score, Chungy absolutely did the work required for his side.
