Goal highlights of Bolton Wanderers 2-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Ben Hoskins

Fortress Reebok is very much an applicable term once again as Bolton Wanderers have won seven straight games at home, keeping clean sheets in the last five straight matches. On Saturday, the Trotters welcomed Wolverhampton Wanderers to the Reebok in hopes of keeping their playoff hopes alive while putting a stop to Wolves' own run of form.

It was a quickfire double that did the work for Bolton Wanderers as David Ngog put Bolton ahead in just the third minute. Jay Spearing's corner found the head of Craig Dawson with Wolves' goalkeeper Dorus De Vries making a good save at the first time of asking but could not hold the effort. David Ngog was on hand at the back post to slam it into the roof of the net from point-blank range.

The advantage was doubled, and the game effectively put away, just seven minutes later. Medo Kamara took a hard shot from a long way out. De Vries positioned himself to make the save but the ball deflected through a ruck of bodies in the box and rolled in the path of Marcos Alonso. The defender's close-range effort beat De Vries at the near post and Bolton were flying high.

The video below is very short but does show both goals. If/when a better one emerges, this post will be updated.
