Wanderers handed cup draw, will face Shrewsbury Town twice this summer

Matthew Lewis

The glitz and glamor of the Capital One Cup First Round is fast approaching for Bolton Wanderers. The draw for the earliest matchups has now been completed and the teams are all set to face each other during the week of 5 August (with individual dates not yet confirmed). Bolton Wanderers, a seeded team, have been drawn with Shrewsbury Town, a non-seeded team (because that's how seeding works), for a match at Greenhous Meadow.

The match will be the second time in less than a month that the Trotters will travel to Shrewsbury's ground, with a friendly between the two teams already arranged for this summer. The match should prove another chance for Tom Eaves as he would take on a team that he spent just under two months on loan with.
