Where Bolton Wanderers had already agreed one or two deal, a few still had some loose ends that had to be tied up. One of the deals in the latter group has now been completed with compensation agreed between Bolton Wanderers and Sheffield Wednesday for young Hayden White. Reports a few weeks had stated that everything between Wanderers and the 18-year-old was agreed upon a few weeks ago but compensation for Wednesday still had to be figured out.
In order to avoid an independent tribunal on the transfer, both clubs had to agree a fee for the youngster, reportedly coming to £100,000. White will join the development setup at Bolton Wanderers with a view of pushing into the first team eventually. Newspaper reports had linked the right winger turned defender with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.
White has signed a three year contract, per an official club statement.
There is a good chance that White could feature for the U21s during their pre-season. They have five games scheduled:
Wednesday, 17 July: Skelmersdale
Friday, 19 July: Chorley
Wednesday, 24 July: FC United of Manchester
Saturday, 27 July: Chester
Tuesday, 30 July: Macclesfield Town
