With only a couple of words managing to leak here and there, Bolton Wanderers and adidas did a pretty good job of keeping the Trotters' away kit for next season under wraps. Previous details that emerged mentioned shirts colored "Electricity" and "Bluebird." However, it is neither of those that Bolton Wanderers unveiled at midnight on Friday (7pm EST on Thursday) in spectacularly bright fashion.
The shirt is a deep, bright red that adidas have called "infrared," which is used relatively heavily on their recent F50 boots (that David Ngog will wear), and with navy accents. Like every other shirt by the company, it shares a template with Hull City's home shirt, Southampton's home shirt, Stoke city's change shirt, Swansea's home, and West Brom's home & away. It also, of course, carries the FibrLec logo, whose colors remain unchanged.
The shirt will be paired with infrared shorts and red and navy socks. Those details were leaked about two weeks ago.
The "Electricity" and "Bluebird" shirts listed on the club's shop site have not yet been revealed. It's possible that one of those will be the third kit, and the other, a goalkeeper kit.
EDIT: A lot of people have asked exactly what Infrared looks like. It ranges from an orangish-red to a dark salmon color.
