Report: Mears to Millwall on year-long deal?

Paul Thomas

Bolton Wanderers have already been very busy in the wee hours of Thursday morning with the season quickly approaching. With two days to go until the start of the 2013/14 campaign, a report from the Bolton News said that the Trotters had completed the signing of attacking midfielder Andre Moritz while loaning out striker Marvin Sordell. In addition to that, a new report from the Daily Mail says that Millwall look just about ready to finish up a season-long loan deal for right back Tyrone Mears.

Per the Mail's report, Mears will hold talks with Millwall manager Steve Lomas later today with the expectation of starting against newly-promoted Yeovil Town at the weekend. The deal would be for the entire season, apparently.

Should the loan be completed, it will effectively spell the end of Mears' time at Bolton Wanderers with his contract at the club running out at the end of the season. He is currently the second-choice right back at Bolton Wanderers, behind new signing Alex Baptiste.
